Our vision is to restore this local treasure, bringing it back from the brink of ruin to create a property that future generations can enjoy.

House

Built around 1800 the house is a magnificent example of a house of the period. Grade II listed many of the original features are in a desperate state of repair.

The timeline for renovation is long and slow, heritage contractors and specialists will be sought to transform this incredible building back into a lasting legacy for all to enjoy.

Restoration

The timeline of renovation is long. Working closely with Historic England and heritage specialists we want to return Mountfield to it’s former glory without compromise.

We welcome on our journey the passionate local residents and the on-line community who without their films and videos we would not have been alerted to the buildings plight.

Grounds

Once over 60 acres, the gardens were once recognised as of the most beautiful in the area with tennis courts, cricket pitch and formal gardens.

Now with just 2 acres remaining, with much lost to development, the restoration hopes to reveal the original features of the formal gardens lost for decades.

Support Us

Our promise is to restore and preserve not only the house, but the remaining grounds too.

Show your support by emailing us and help prevent any further development in the grounds further damaging the integrity of this recognisable and important building.
